Silk Road Walnut Creek - Authentic Mediterranean Food

The food was excellent, and the management was very outstanding and friendly. We really enjoyed it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Silk Road Restaurant in Walnut Creek, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The ambiance of the restaurant is welcoming and elegant, with a perfect blend of modern décor and traditional elements that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings. The menu is a delightful journey through the rich and diverse flavors of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. Every dish we tried was a masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. The Shish Kebabs were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a delightful chargrilled taste. The Falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, served with a tangy tahini sauce that perfectly complemented it. And the Baklava for dessert? Simply divine—sweet, flaky, and utterly satisfying. What truly sets Silk Road apart, though, is the impeccable service. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every aspect of your dining experience is top-notch. Absolutely delicious!!!!! Complimentary bread and dipping, huge portions, reasonable prices. Bread is fresh out of the oven, all food is prepared to order, nothing is pre-made. Masterfully prepared, homemade quality food. Come hungry! Definitely will be back again and again.

Met a friend here to try out this new place. Boy I enjoyed it!! I thought there might not be many vegetarian options but boy was I wrong. Our server pointed several. So we ordered a combo platter with hummus, babbaganush, tabouret, and dolmas. Very tasty. But the star was the vegetarian sandwich. It had artichoke hearts, eggplant and more..but the balsamic sauce (that is mixed with mayo sauce was very tasty). I will be back just for this sandwich again. Sauce terrific!! Service was very attentive and helpful. Def recommend coming by.

Literally the best restaurant everrrr. The food is so good and the restaurant is so pretty. Lots of fresh air and natural lighting. The servers are so nice and professional😊.

I was here last Sunday and got the rack of lamb and a glass of wine. The lamb was overcooked, the vegis were raw, and the garlic mashed potatoes were absolutely awful(no flavor, no substance like instant box potatoes). I didnt hate my meal and I'd love to come back, but for the price point I'd like a better attention to quality. I dinged down the atmosphere because a plastic tent is kind of a turnoff. The server that night was spectacular.

Paid Street parking. Patio seating available...however it could use major cleaning. Ok service Food took a while. However, it was well worth the wait. Large portions Amazing flavors Reasonable prices I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

We enjoy Mediterranean food and have found the Silk Road Restaurant to be one of our best. We live in the Santa Cruz Area but always stop for a meal when traveling. Their eggplant appetizer is just perfect. We enjoy the plate option instead of the sandwich. They provide the excellent ingredients, fresh and crisp vegetables, meat perfectly seasoned and cooked correctly, along with an excellent home made pita. There is always more than enough to fill our tummies. The drinks are always served as requested and at the correct temperature. Try this place once and like us you will be hooked.

I went today with my family. It was a special experience and I was happy that they have a gluten free option because it is difficult to find this option in other restaurants and they have halal meat. Everything was perfect. The service, food, place and cleanliness have become my favorite place. I will recommend it to my family and friends.

Wow!!! We had such a great experience there. Food was really awesome and staff were super friendly. Once owner found out we have drove a long way to get there, offered us two freshly made persian stew which tasted wonderful. Their main staff had also learnt to speak Farsi in a sweet way. Definitely recommend this great place!

Me and my team were very happy with the food!! It was delicious!! As suggested by staff, next time we'll ask for a "family" style service when we have 10 or more people. Delivery was on time and friendly. Thank you! I've yet to come to the restaurant so I can't comment on the atmosphere, but it looks wonderful on line.

We highly recommend this place!!! The service was exceptional. Super fast and attentive. It was packed, but we always had full drinks and our food came out really quick and was piping hot and delicious. My wife got the koobideh kabob and I got the joojeh kabob. Absolutely phenomenal. Worth traveling for! As soon as we sat down they brought out some fresh lavash with a great dip. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant!

Silk Road has lovely outdoor patio seating with plenty of shade. Our waiter was low-key but very attentive. I had a delicious salad with chicken shish kebab and my husband had a wrap sandwich. We both thought the food was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were quite generous. The complimentary warm flat bread and balsamic dipping sauce was a nice touch. Will visit again soon.

My family and I went for dinner there and the food was amazing. Our server, Gabino was very polite and provided great service! Thank you for a great experience.

Overall good experience, food was good, service was also. So yes overall its a nice place. They don't have a dessert menu though you will only get Bakalawa for dessert. Limited sitting spaces, I had a Chicken kebab which is really good little dry but tasted awesome.

This is my go to place when I can't decide what I want to eat. The pita bread is made FRESH and the dipping sauce with it is to die for. Can't go wrong with gyros here, changed it up last time with trout and it was so good. My baby loved it and the fresh veggies (not overcooked). Awesome customer service, never a wait, decent prices.

Great quality Mediterranean food for a respectable price! I haven't been too impressed with many restaurants and cafes around NorCal, but I am very pleased with this find. The service was great and we were also offered complimentary pita + dipping sauce that was fantastic. We also got several extra sides of sauce and pita at no cost, too! Thank you for the pleasant dining experience.

I've been to this place a few times. Food quality is not bad. You can find some of Persian foods in this restaurant but not all of them. They don't serve Persian stews. The food isn't an authentic Persian food, it's Americanized a little bit.

Food was good, a bit salty on my fish. Portion was good but the changes were different from their menu. About $2-3 more each entree. Maybe they forgot to update it. While everything is getting expensive the changes are still in reasonable range.

I've been looking for a good Persian restaurant and I've definitely found it here. The service was amazing and so was the food. We ordered kabobs, chicken, ground beef and beef serloin. Came with rice and veggies. The bread or naan was perfect too. Came with a side dish to dip the naan in and it was very tasty. I'm sad to say that we are moving soon but I definitely want to go back before we do.

Nice big wine pours for only $6!!! Fantastic food prices too. Food tastes great even if I thought their gyro could be smaller and more manageable. The complimentary app was delish and generous.

Mediterranean chickpea tabboule as smooth as silk caravaned to guests as soon as seated and then order kabobs of filet beef chicken lamb and be saffroned by rice ringed by pitas for definitive feasting right here in Walnut Creek without traveling to Khotan by Eastern China desert all the way to Italia so pizzas are here too all generous portions for the hearty travelers of lore.

Excellent service, great food, fair prices. We sat in their outdoor dining area with our dog and they immediately brought the pup a water bowl. The gyro and grilled chicken sandwich were both delicious, and pretty large...come hungry. The waiter was very friendly and attentive and recommended dishes. We will definitely be returning.

The food is adventurous and delicious. We had the starter with 4 different dippings and they were all great! The meat is tender and the food looks great. Will definitely go back.

Great food, not too pricy. Lunch specials are especially great deals. one note, the greek salad olives have pits (which i actually prefer!)! i just wasnt expecting them. So be careful, but enjoy

Pretty good persian food here. The bread and dipping sauce is unique and good. The kabob is a bit on the dry side but the rice and baba was terrific. Would recommend.

This place has been around forever! And it’s still the best Mediterranean food in WC. Amazing flat bread to your table, warm and ready for dipping in their homemade tabouli and hummus. Amazing range of skewered meats, fish and rice. And everything else tasty. Ambiance is a bonus, as they’ve always had an great indoor/outdoor patio, perfect for parties up to 6-8 or just a table for two. Nice people watching spot. Can’t recommend enough!!

Great out door seating areas. Wonderful service and food. We ordered the lam kabob and they were really juicy and well prepared.

The combination app plate and pita with the dressing are delicious! Main meals were okay and a little pricey but was too full from the starters to mind :)

For the price It's pretty generous and the food is solid.

Holy cow their hummus is spectacular. Pita is hot and amazing with their garlic vinaigrette. Perfect outdoor seating with great jazz piano which let us eat dinner despite the pandemic. Will be returning!
